Stephen Sheppard has been a Director of Derby Rubber for over 30 years. In 2002 he opened an office for the business in The Netherlands.

His father, Ralph Sheppard, was one of Derby Rubber’s founders.

What he likes the most about Derby Rubber’ team is that they are always trying new things, researching new materials, evaluating new processes or new products and learning along the way. Plus, he gets to hang out with some super-bright people who share his passion.

Dr Belas Khan joined at Derby Rubber as Technical Manager in May 2023. Belas is an experienced Materials Engineer with a strong background in Elastomers, Plastics & Polymers, and Composites. He has a strong background in the rubber chemistry and compounding industry, underpinned by a Masters Degree and two PhDs in Polymeric materials engineering. He has also worked at Chinese Academy of Sciences as a research scholar. When away from work, Belas loves to spend his time with his beautiful wife and three kids

Trish Scarpitti has been Office Manager at Derby Rubber for the last 20 years. For Trish, communication is an essential component of business relationships that is often overlooked. She ensures that our customers do not encounter problems by building a positive rapport and providing a steady flow of communication.

Aside her job, Trish loves cooking and baking, take long walks on the beach watching the sunset, and spending time with family and friends.

Adrian Scarpitti has worked at Derby Rubber for the last 9 years and is their Quality and Safety Manager. He has a Degree in Science (Biotechnology) and a Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety.

His main challenge at work is to educate people on the importance of working safely, so they can go back home to their families. He loves the sense of pride that he feels from working for an Australian owned company with a favourable reputation, that produces high quality products that we can export globally.

Tim was appointed Operations Manager of Derby Rubber in 2021. He brings to the business over 25 years of manufacturing experience from the automotive, rubber, timber and steel industries.

What he likes most about Derby Rubber is the positive culture, the team philosophy and the skilled and diverse workforce that are focussed on success. As Operations Manager, he is working to address the current challenges in supply chain and logistics caused by the pandemic.
